Zippo erweitert die Marke explosiv

Obwohl das Sturmfeuerzeug nach wie vor das beliebteste Produkt ist, wagte Zippo 1962 seinen ersten Schritt in die Diversifikation. Damals wurde ein Maßband von sechs Fuß Länge aus flexiblem Stahl eingeführt. Der Erfolg dieses Produktes bestätigte Zippo darin, die Ausweitung zur heutigen Produktfamilie durchzuführen, die aus Maßbändern, Messern, Geld-Clips, Schreibinstrumenten und Schlüsselanhängern besteht.

Political Vodka – Kremlin licensing

According to Bloomberg, the Kremlin plans to sell alcoholic and soft drinks under its own brand to increase revenue.

The Kremlin has registered six trademarks so far, including Kremlin Vodka, Kremlin Beer and Kremlin Lemonade, and plans to license the rights to make those drinks to producers and collect royalties on sales.

Ducati Mobile Accessories in license / co-branding

Ducati gave a brand license to iSkin for a line of premium, performance-inspired carriers, holders and sleeves for laptops, tablets and similar-sized devices, including a body messenger for iPad and for cameras and iPhones.
The complete Ducati Collection by iSkin is available online. It will be rolled out to select premium outlets in the coming months.

Porsche goes Trump

Porsche Design Studio and New York/South Florida developer Gil Dezer of Dezer Properties and Dezer Signature Brands, recently announced a master licensing agreement to expand the Porsche Design Studio’s luxury brand reach into the Florida residential real estate market.

The venture’s first proposed project will feature a 57-story ultra-luxury tower called The Porsche Design Tower, complete with a sky garage, in Sunny Isles Beach. This tower will showcase a one-of-a-kind robotic parking system, allowing owners to park their vehicles in sky garages directly next to their units. It’s a first for Florida, but not so much for New York City.

This is a perfect example of multiple entities managing one brand. Porsche, still known best for luxurious, high speed cars, comes from and stands for mobility.
And now it licenses its brand for the least mobile thing, real estate. Did anyone think of the stretch?

The licensee is Impetus Textiles S.A.

Distribution is planed via 200+ Replay stores and through regular wholesale channels to specialty retailers and department stores.
