Crocs expands through brand licenses

Crocs, known for its aesthetically challenging footwear, announced its expansion into licensing.
According to its vice president of global sales, “more than 200 million pairs of Crocs shoes have been sold, in more than 90 countries around the world.”

The company has signed licensing agreements with various manufacturers.

The first license was for a line of adult and children’s socks. The licensee is Sock and Accessories Brands for North America.
Crocs-branded socks, produced by Intersocks, will be available throughout European markets.

Crocs also entered an agreement with Accessory Exchange, which is producing a variety of Crocs-branded accessories for men, women and children, in several global regions. Accessory Exchange Crocs-branded products include hats, bags, backpacks, socks and gloves that are available now at Crocs retail stores and Crocs.com.

Crocs kidswear will come through an agreement with the A Group. The children’s apparel will be available in 46 countries around the globe and distributed through retail and wholesale channels.

Sunglasses and sunglass accessories will launch in May 2012. Eye King, LLC is producing sunglasses for adults and youth for retail and wholesale distribution in the U.S. and Canada.

Perry Ellis Brand License for electric hair care

Perry Ellis International signed a brand license with Argento SC by Sicura.
The product category are men’s electronic hair grooming products.

Product will be distributed in department stores throughout the U.S. and Canada.

It will be available at retail in 2012.

Und noch eine Brillen-Lizenz: Balenciaga

Laut The Moodie Report wollen Marcolin und Balenciaga eine Brillenlizenz unterschreiben.

Die Markenlizenz soll exklusive sein, weltweit gelten und sowohl Sonnenbrillen als auch optische Brillen umfassen.

Die Vertragslaufzeit ist fünf Jahre mit einer Option auf weitere 10.
Erste Produkte soll es im Jahr 2013 geben.

Marcolin hat bereits Lizenzen, unter Anderem von Marken wie Diesel, Hogan, John Galliano, Roberto Cavalli, Swarovski, Tod’s und Tom Ford.

Yet another Eyewear License: Balenciaga

The Moodie Report has the news, Italian eyewear company Marcolin SpA and French fashion house Balenciaga announced an exclusive brand licence for eyewear.

The license is worldwide and covers sunglasses and prescription eyewear.

The agreement is for a period of five years renewable for an additional ten.

The first collection will be presented during 2013.

Marcolin already has licensed brands like Diesel, Hogan, John Galliano, Just Cavalli, Roberto Cavalli, Swarovski, Tod’s and Tom Ford.

Playboy Wäsche zum ….

Playboy ist berühmt-berüchtigt für seine Lizenzen.

Atlas Design ist neuer Lizenznehmer für Playboy-Wäsche für Männer.

Die Lizenz Wäsche läuft vier Jahre und umfasst Herren-Tag- und Nachtwäsche sowie Loungewear.

Es soll sowohl eine Kollektion für die breite Masse geben, als auch eine gehobene für den Fachhandel.

Atlas ist unter Anderem Lizenznehmer von Joop!, Bugatti und Tom Tailor.
