Next company reviving ghost brands

The Brand Cellar launched in the UK and Asia. The start-up claims to have “a unique business model whereby it acquires iconic, heritage brands which have been forgotten or neglected and reinvents them for new generations of consumers both in the UK and in emerging markets.”

Either that is PR talk or they did not do their research. There are a couple of companies with that business model. Just search for dormant, ghost or orphan brands or brand revival.

Back to The Brand Cellar, their brand portfolio includes

  • Dewhurst the Master Butcher
  • Zorbit, the original toweling nappy manufacturer
  • Glen Rossie Whisky and
  • luxury pen brand Conway Stewart.

All those categories are very competitive.
