P&G sells Duracell

[:en]Procter & Gamble continues to sell brands.

P&G will sell its Duracell business to Berkshire Hathaway Inc., one of its larger shareholders.

The deal values the battery unit at close to $3 billion, about seven times EBITDA, P&G will re-capitalize Duracell with about $1.8 Billion prior to the sale.

Berkshire Hathaway Inc. pays for the acquisition with P&G shares worth approximately $4.7 billion.[:]
