The number of trademark registrations grew in 2021 again.
WIPO reports here, World Intellectual Property Indicators Report, an increase by 5.5%.
China, for long looked upon as copycat, reached 1st place.
Of 18.1 M trademark registrations, ~ 9.5 M came from China. The USA came in 2nd with almost 900.000, and 3rd place goes to the EU with almost 500.00.
