Would you be wearing Harvard?

Wearwolf Group announced that it licensed Harvard University’s trademarked phrase “Harvard Yard” for a clothing line. The license runs for 10 years.

The clothes will not be marked with the university logo or crest. Instead, they will feature a crimson trim and the “Harvard Yard” brand name.

The “preppy” clothes will feature menswear, with shirts for $160 and sport coats for up to $495. Womenswear and childrenswear are supposed to be launched later.

During the 70ies sweaters and sweats with a UCLA label were very fashionable among preppy teens. But certainly not at those price points.
